FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Louisville, KY (November 18, 2008)—The Classic TV Database, “Your Home for Classic TV,” is pleased to announce the launch of their updated and redesigned site on November 27, 2008.
The site, which includes biographical information about some of the best shows of the past 50 years, has grown since its launch in 1995 to accommodate over 30,000 visitors a month. The new version of the site will offer a better user experience and expanded content. New content highlights include past TV schedules from the 1950s to present day, video clips of theme songs and shows and a message board to where visitors share thoughts, questions and memories about classic television.
“We are thrilled to release the completely redesigned site, which will give visitors a better site experience,” says Chris Casconi, ClassicTVDatabase.com webmaster, “with all of the advances, the classic TV memories will come flooding back!”
In addition to the new features, more shows and themes will also be added. The Classic TV Store, which was originally launched in 1999, will be upgraded to include digital downloads of TV shows through partnerships with Amazon.com and iTunes. These services allow visitors and classic TV enthusiasts to purchase DVDs of their favorite shows directly from the site.
Since 1995, the Classic TV Database has been dedicated to the best TV shows to air on television.
