Since his very first role as basketball player James Hayward on "The White Shadow," it has all been onward and upward for Thomas Carter. He wisely began getting experience behind the camera by directing several episodes of "The White Shadow."
When "The White Shadow" was cancelled, Carter began to seriously pursue directing, moving next to "Remington Steele," "Miami Vice," "Call To Glory," and many other TV productions. More recently, Carter produced and co-created the acclaimed courtroom drama "Equal Justice." He also directed the feature film "Swing Kids" and the Eddie Murphy flick "Metro." Carter was also involved with "Only In America," an HBO biography of Don King.
