Ed Bernard began his supporting-actor career in 1972 as a policeman in the Robert Redford vehicle "The Hot Rock." He next worked in a handful of features and TV series before settling in as the principal of Carver High School on "The White Shadow." He has continued to act, taking roles in films like "Blue Thunder" in 1983, and "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" in 1993. His most recent screen credit is the 1996 horror/puppet flick "Pinocchio's Revenge."
He keeps active by touring in theater, recently appearing in August Wilson's "Fences" at the Bushfire Theater in Philadelphia.
