Ice-T
According to Ice-T, we have rap music to credit for the election of President Barack Obama.
During an appearance on Wednesday's episode of Today, the rapper-actor shared some interesting political theories with hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford.
"[Rap] put Barack Obama in the presidency. If it wasn't for rap, white people wouldn't have been so open to vote for somebody like Barack Obama."

Gifford countered by saying she had hoped the public had supported Obama because he was a "good candidate, and not because [he is] black."
While acknowledging Gifford's point, the Law & Order: SVUstar wasn't swayed from his stance. "That had to happen after their eyes were opened up, and hip-hop was what brought us together. Hip-hop's what took down a lot of those boundaries. Music did that."
What do you think about Ice-T's theory?
