One month the infamous 1993 raid on David Koresh's Waco, Texas, compound, NBC aired Ambush in Waco: In The Line of Duty, a quickly assembled docudrama based on the tragic and heavily covered news event. Wings star Tim Daly played Branch Dividians’ leader, David Koresh, who led his group of religious followers to death rather than surrendering their illegal weapons. Years later, the films writer admitted it was created so quickly, little research was done, resulting in much criticism for the project.
