According to Variety, Tom Berenger, Powers Boothe and Mare Winningham have signed on for roles in History's upcoming mini-series 'The Hatfields and McCoys: An American Vendetta.'
They join previously announced leads Bill Paxton (Randall McCoy) and Kevin Costner (Anse Hatfield) in the period piece, which follows the bloody 13-year feud between the Hatfield and McCoy families.
'Platoon' star Berenger will play Jim Vance, uncle to Costner's character. 'Deadwood' and '24' star Boothe will play Hatfield's older brother Wall. Winningham ('Mildred Pierce') is set to play Randall McCoy's (Paxton) wife Sally.
Frequent Costner collaborator Kevin Reynolds ('Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves,' 'Waterwold') is set to direct.
'The Hatfields and McCoys' will center on the notorious vendetta between the two clans, which started on the Civil War battlefields and escalated almost to the point of war between two states. It is slated to air in 2012 to mark the 150th anniversary of the country's most infamous family feud.
