According to TVLine.com the comedy is being radically retooled, which has involved pink slips being handed out to nearly half of the ensemble cast, including Natalie Morales ('White Collar'), Angel Laketa Moore ('ER') and Jo Koy ('Chelsea Lately').
A spokesperson for the show confirmed that the three actresses are leaving "for creative reasons," and that their characters are currently being reconceived.
Handler is acting as both executive producer and co-star of the new comedy, which is slated to premiere at midseason. Based on her 2008 bestselling collection of humorous autobiographical essays, it stars Laura Prepon (who's keeping her job) as Chelsea, Handler as her own sister, and possibly -- talks are ongoing -- Roseanne Barr as their aunt.
Morales was set to play Chelsea's best friend, with Moore and Koy co-starring as her sports bar co-workers.
