Audiences lined up to befriend new releases Ted and Magic Mike at the box office.

Ted, the debut film from Family Guy mastermind Seth MacFarlane, surpassed The Hangover's record for best opening for an original R-rated comedy, Box Office Mojo reports. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and a very crude bear voiced by MacFarlane, the film grossed an estimated $54.1 million in its opening weekend to take the top spot.
