But when Gellar returns to 'AMC,' it won't be as Kendall.
"I have no idea what I'm doing or who I'm playing. I told them I don't want to be Kendall; that's Alicia's [Minshew] role now," she said Thursday. "I just wanted to be a part of it."
Gellar won a Daytime Emmy for playing Kendall, the daughter of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci). Prior to joining 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' Gellar played Kendall for roughly two years. The role has since been taken over by Alicia Minshew.
'All My Children' leaves ABC on Sept. 23. It will move to a new, online home at a later date, possibly in first quarter of 2012. Contract negotiations between Prospect Park and production crews are ongoing.
Gellar can next bet seen on the new CW series 'Ringer,' premiering Sept. 13 at 9PM.
