CBS's 'Rules of Engagement' debuted in the former timeslot of 'How to Be a Gentleman' to almost 3 million more viewers than the now-canceled freshman comedy.
The Thurs., Oct. 20 Season 6 premiere of 'Rules' was watched by 11.5 million viewers. The series premiere of 'How to Be a Gentleman' brought in about 9 million viewers. 'Gentleman' had a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 'Rules' got a 3.7.
'How to Be a Gentleman' was pulled from CBS's Thursday line-up after just two episodes and moved to Saturdays, bouncing 'Rules of Engagement' to Thursdays. Production on 'How to Be a Gentleman' was shut down and CBS pulled the show from Saturdays after one airing.
'Rules of Engagement' stars Spade, Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price and Oliver Hudson and tells the stories of a group of friends in various stages of relationships.
