Lindsay Lohan has been hospitalized after a car accident Friday on Los Angeles' Pacific Coast Highway, TMZ reports.

The actress was driving her black Porsche when it slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler, according to the site. The front of the Porsche is totaled, as seen by the photos from the scene obtained by TMZ, with the passenger window shattered and rear bumper completely removed from the vehicle.

Lohan was transported to the emergency room, though not by an ambulance. Preliminary reports say that she is in the emergency room undergoing tests by doctors, but she seems OK.

Lohan, 25, is currently filming Lifetime's made-for-TV movie Liz and Dick, in which she plays Elizabeth Taylor.

Calls and emails to Lohan's rep were not immediately returned.
