The Voice and Dancing with the Stars faced off on Tuesdays for the first time and it ended in a draw for NBC and ABC.
The networks tied in the all-important adults 18-to-49 demographic Tuesday night with a 2.2, but ABC did take the night in terms of viewership (11.8 million vs. 6.25 million), thanks to Dancing (15.4 million, 2.7). Dancing, however, fell 13 percent in the demo, perhaps due to competition from The Voice.
Which four singers went home on The Voice?
Airing its first results show of the season, The Voice drew 8.35 million viewers and a 3.2 — well below Monday's numbers (10.7 million, 4.1), but it was the highest-rated show of the night. As is the case on Mondays, The Voice trumped Dancing in the demo, but surrendered in total viewers.
On Fox, Raising Hope (3.92 million, 1.6) rose a tenth, but New Girl (4.58 million, 2.3) and Breaking In (2.65 million, 1.3) both fell, with the former hitting a season low.
