Ratings: Private Practice Falls in New Slot

Date April 18, 2012

Kate Walsh and Benjamin Bratt

Addison got some great news on Private Practice. The show? Not so much.

In its Tuesday debut, Private Practice dropped 23 percent from its last Thursday airing, pulling in 6.8 million viewers and a 1.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic to hit a series low in the demo. Practice was also down two-tenths from Body of Proof's rating last week. The silver lining: It won the 10 o'clock hour.

ABC also saw series lows for Last Man Standing (6.7 million, 1.7) and Cougar Town (4.6 million, 1.4). Dancing with the Stars (13.8 million, 2.4) regrouped from a series low last week, rising a tenth.

The Voice (8.8 million, 3.3) and NCIS (17.6 million, 3.0) were the night's highest-rated and most-watched shows, respectively, but both slipped to season lows as well.

On Fox, Glee (6.2 million viewers, 2.4) slumped to an all-time low, dropping 11 percent. New Girl (5.3 million, 2.7) was even, while Raising Hope's second-season finale saw a slight bump with 3.9 million viewers and a 1.9.

Ringer closed out its first season with 1.15 million viewers and a 0.5, rising a tenth from last week.
