Most 90-year-olds probably don't even know what Twitter is, but Betty White isn't like most 90-year-olds.
The comedy legend and star of NBC's new seniors-prank-the-young'uns show Betty White's Off Their Rockers joined Twitter Tuesday, and less than 24 hours after her first tweet, she has already amassed more than 100,00 followers.
Her first tweet? "Hello Twitter! And they said it would never happen. Oh wait, that was me."
Ratings: Betty White's Rockers boosts NBC
It seems as though we can expect White to bring her signature wit to the social network. "Hey @RyanSeacrest - my new show airs tomorrow and I hear we're in the same time slot. I've always dreamed of sharing a night with you..." she tweeted on Tuesday evening.
Seacrest has yet to respond (though, understandably, he's been a bit busy).
Off Their Rockers, which features senior citizens pulling Punk'd-style pranks on the younger generation, debuted last Wednesday to 7.2 million viewers and a 1.8 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic. It was NBC's biggest audience in the slot since November and best rating since January. Rockers' sneak peek in January earned 12.2 million viewers and a 2.6.
Betty White's Off Their Rockers airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
