'The Voice' is getting bigger. Capitalizing on the show's positive buzz, NBC has extended the singing competition and added two live results shows.
On June 22 and 29, NBC will air live broadcasts, with season 1 concluding on the 29th.
NBC is throwing quite a bit of might behind 'The Voice.' The Peacock has already slotted it behind the Super Bowl on Sun., Feb. 5. No word on whether it'll be the season 2 premiere or just a round of blind auditions.
When 'The Voice' debuts its second season early next year, it will be paired with the musical drama 'Smash' starring Debra Messing and Anjelica Huston.
'The Voice,' airing behind 'America's Got Talent,' recently enjoyed a record 14.4 million viewers. The series isn't doing too shabby in the 18-49 demo either. Its most recent episode was seen by 4.9 million viewers in that key demographic.
Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will all be back as coaches next year.
