According to Deadline, Mullally will be a series regular on the show, but the deal allows her to continue her role on Adult Swim's 'Children's Hospital' and her recurring gigs on NBC's 'Parks and Recreation' and ABC's 'Happy Endings.'
The 'Will and Grace' actress will play a character who takes over Contra Security, previously run by Christian Slater's character, Oz. This is just one of the many creative changes being made to the series. Look for the missions to be scaled back and the office comedy angle to be ramped up.
Fox resurrected the series for midseason placement after canceling the show following a poorly-rated first season. 'Breaking In' star Odette Annable was cast on 'House' and will now pull double-duty on both shows.
On 'Parks and Recreation,' Mullally plays Tammy Swanson 2, the second ex-wife of Ron Swanson. She recently guest starred on 'Happy Endings' as Penny's mom.
Production Season 2 is expected to begin in January.
