LL Cool J took the law into his own hands early Wednesday morning — literally.

The rapper encountered an intruder in his house around 2 a.m. and detained the burglary suspect himself until the LAPD arrived a few minutes later.

TMZ reports that, while LL is fine, the intruder endured a few bruises.

Maybe LL learned to take down suspects from his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna on NCIS: Los Angeles? Or maybe he's just naturally awesome.
