Kristin Chenoweth was rushed to the hospital after being injured on the set of The Good Wife, TMZ.com reports.

Chenoweth, who recently snagged a recurring gig on the CBS drama, was struck by a piece of lighting equipment. After paramedics treated her on set, the Emmy-winning actress was taken to a nearby hospital in New York where she was treated for "minor injuries."

The 43-year-old actress — whose credits include Pushing Daisies, Gleeand GCB— was recently cast as a top political journalist who wants the inside scoop on Peter Florrick's campaign for governor, as well as his and Alicia's marriage. She will first appear in the Season 4 premiere, slated to air Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c on CBS.

Reps for the CBS series and the actress did not immediately respond to TVGuide.com's request for comment.
