The Florida woman went missing the day after appearing with her ex-fiance on 'The People's Court.' According to WPBF, Michelle Parker, a 33-year-old mother of three, disappeared a day after she and her ex-fiance had a case heard on the TV court show.
On the show, which was taped months ago but just aired one week ago, Parker's ex-fiance Dale Smith sued her for $5,000. In turn, she talked about their "tumultuous and violent" relationship, which she called "poison."
Now, according to People, her friend has released a statement in which she insists that Parker "would not voluntarily disappear."
Allegedly, Parker was embarrassed to be appearing on 'The People's Court' (and justifiably so, as Judge Marilyn Milian snapped at her, calling her an "idiot"). "She wasn't looking forward to seeing her dirty laundry on national TV," says Parker's long-time friend, Angela Mann. "She was embarrassed."
"She would never disappear and put her kids through this," she continued. "Her kids are her entire world. Anyone who knows Michelle knows that she did not voluntarily disappear. Somebody took her."
Parker's loved ones have set up a command post in Florida and are actively looking for her. "We're searching the entire county," says Mann. "Someone knows where she is."
Authorities are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Orland Police Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477. Police have insisted that Parker's ex-fiance is not a suspect in the case, and he is allegedly cooperating with the investigation.
