Kate Plus 8 William Blankinship, a former editor on TLC's 'Jon and Kate Plus 8,' was arrested and charged with 10 counts of sex exploit of a minor, according to RadarOnline.com.

Blankinship, 56, was taken into custody on Oct. 21. The sex exploit of a minor charges means he had in his possession photos and/or videos of a minor engaged in a sexual act. He was arrested in North Carolina as part of a sting known as "Operation Spyglass." Radar reports 24 men were handed felony charges for "possession and distribution of child pornography and/or sexual acts with a minor."

In addition to 'Jon and Kate,' Blankinship worked on 'Kate Plus 8,' 'Table for 12,' and '17 Kids and Counting.' The editor wasn't an employee of TLC, he was a subcontractor for Figure 8 Films. The company fired him after his arrest. He was never around any of the families featured on the TLC shows.

"Bill Blankinship was employed by Serious Robots, with whom Figure 8 Films subcontract for editing services," Figure 8 said in a statement. "Upon learning of the shocking allegations, his employment was terminated. At no time was this man ever in the field or in direct contact with any of the talent for any of our productions."

No bond for Blankinship has been set.

This is just the latest in child porn offense connected to a reality show. In October, Morgan Wilson, a former 'Top Chef Just Desserts' finalist was indicted on three second-degree felony charges of possession with the intent to promote child pornography.
