Dee Snyder on Disney XD's Motorcity

Dee Snider, what do you want to do with your life? He wants to rock — as "The Duke of Detroit" on Disney XD's animated series Motorcity.

The hair band veteran — famous for his run as the lead singer of Twisted Sister — makes his first appearance in the June 7 episode of Motorcity (9:30/8:30c) in what's being billed as a recurring role. In the episode, when Mike (voice of Reid Scott) accidentally disrespects Motorcity's The Duke of Detroit (a figure well entrenched in the Motorcity underworld), he faces repercussions.

A wheeling and dealing gangster-type character, The Duke of Detroit will frequently butt heads with Mike, who leads The Burners. "Voicing the character 'The Duke of Detroit' for Motorcity is one of the most fun things I've done in a long time," Snider says. "The Duke is an amalgam of Kid Rock, James Brown, David Lee Roth and me, circa 1985. The director is always shocked how well I play my role, but to tell a secret, I'm not acting."

Snider is currently promoting his new book, Shut Up and Give Me The Mic: A Twisted Memoir, and his new album, Dee Does Broadway. Here's a first look at Snider's introduction to the world of Motorcity.
