Eddie Cibrian Injured The old saying is "add insult to injury," but it was the reverse for 'Playboy Club' star Eddie Cibrian who was injured on the set of his now-canceled series.

The actor was injured on Tuesday night, the same day NBC canceled the fledgling show.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Cibrian injured his right heel. The actor was running down an alley on the show's set and caught his heel under a 200-pound steel door.

Cibrian was treated for a deep gash on his foot at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

While the show no longer has a home on NBC -- it's being replaced by reruns of 'Prime Suspect' until 'Rock Center' debuts on Oct. 31 -- the studio is rumored to be looking for a new home for the series about Hugh Hefner's Chicago Playboy club in the 1960s.

"I'm sorry NBC's 'The Playboy Club' didn't find it's audience," Hefner tweeted after the show was canceled. "It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience."
