According to the New York Post, Trump is developing a scripted drama about Trump Tower. The series will follow the wealthy, eccentric residents of the tower in New York City. The Post reports several networks are already battling for the project.
In other Trump development news, the 'Apprentice' star is said to be working with 'Celebrity Apprentice' winner Bret Michaels on a new reality series. The Post has the Donald and Michaels teaming for 'Something to Believe In,' an unscripted series that would feature Michaels traveling around the country, helping people in the face of adversity.
Trump toyed with a possible presidential run before announcing he's sticking with 'The Apprentice' and NBC. Recent reports indicated Trump received a hefty raise as part of a new 'Apprentice' deal, but the network downplayed the salary reports.
"The financial information reported today in regards to 'The Celebrity Apprentice' is grossly inaccurate and has been significantly overstated," NBC said in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter in June. "While it is our policy to keep financial information strictly confidential, neither the production costs of the show nor what Mr. Trump makes personally is in the realm of reality. Donald Trump and 'The Apprentice' franchise remain a key part of the NBC primetime lineup and we are looking forward to another compelling cycle next season."
