'Memphis Beat' actor DJ Qualls took to Twitter to tell the world he was beaten by Vancouver Police, apparently for no reason.
On Saturday morning, Qualls started tweeting about the incident. "Before it hit the news, just got out out of the ER," he said. "Was beaten by a Vancouver Police Officer for no reason. Got stitches and released."
Qualls said he witnessed a large fight. After he attempted to point out some of the parties involved, the actor was warned to get out of the area or he'd be arrested. Qualls tweeted, "I asked why and he tackled me, busted my face and handcuffed me." Then, according to his own personal account, he was held for a half an hour before an ambulance came and taunted by the police officer, whom he then called out on Twitter.
According to Vulture, the Vancouver Police released this statement: "Obviously we're aware of the complaint that he's made via the media and we've reached out to him. Despite not hearing from him we've proactively started an investigation."
The actor is in Canada to film 'Supernatural.' Check out the gallery below for more fall TV guest stars.
