According to Entertainment Weekly, the show follows Steve DeAngelo, a pot reform activist and owner of Oakland's Harborside Health Center. The center serves 80,000 clients.

"'Weed Wars' fearlessly pulls back the curtain on a once illegal and still controversial world," Nancy Daniels, executive vice president at Discovery Channel, told EW. "Like 'Gold Rush' or 'Deadliest Catch,' these are guys pursuing their own version of the American Dream."

Look for 'Weed Wars' to debut this fall.
