'Covert Affairs,' 'Hannibal,' coming to Amazon Prime in new deal with NBC Universal

Date May 16, 2013

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Amazon Prime members will now have streaming access to past seasons of "Hannibal," "Covert Affairs," "Grimm" and other NBC Universal shows as part of an expanded licensing deal, the companies said Thursday.

Prime members already can stream NBC shows like "Parks & Recreation" and "Heroes," but the new pact enhances offerings from the broadcast and cable company. Among the new additions are USA Network's legal drama "Suits," the musical series "Smash," and Syfy's futuristic sci-fi series "Defiance."

Also available are children's programs such as "Curious George" and "Land Before Time."

Amazon Prime is a $79 annual subscription service that also offers members free two-day shipping on purchases.
