Yes, we know it was a film before it was a beloved TV show. The powers that be have made it known they are working on a script, and now Tami Taylor herself is fanning the movie flames.

"It's happening for realsies," Connie Britton told Us Weekly.

Britton was nominated for an Emmy twice for her role as the steady wife of Coach Taylor, played Kyle Chandler. Chandler took home an Emmy for his work on the final season of the series.

In July, executive producer Peter Berg told press he was working behind the scenes to get the movie off the ground. It seems the project has gotten more traction after Chandler took home the acting statue and Jason Katims won an Emmy for the 'Friday Night Lights' series finale script.

"Pete is totally fired up to do it and I know Jason Katims is talking about writing a script. I think it's really a matter of...getting everyone's busy schedules aligned and making it happen," Britton, who is currently starring in FX's 'American Horror Story,' said.

"I for one will do my part in trying to push it along," she said.
