Yep, the veteran sitcom star has been upped from "special guest star" to series regular after a season.
When the show returns, look for them to have fun with Leachman in the title credits. Instead of a typical credit of "and Cloris Leachman," her credit will read "and introducing Cloris Leachman as Maw Maw."
"I thought it would be funny to make it 'introducing Cloris Leachman,' and she thought it was hilarious," series creator Greg Garcia told TV Guide.
Leachman's schedule kept her as a "special guest star" during the first season, but now everything has fallen into place for season 2.
"I am inspired by her," Garcia said of the 85-year-old actress. "She's sharp as a tack and here working all hours of the night ... She's fun and funny and has great ideas. Her rule is if it's funny, she'll do it. And she trusts us."
Leachman is currently touring the country with her one-woman show and signed to co-star alongside Colin Firth in 'Gambit.'
'Raising Hope' returns to Fox this fall on Tuesdays at 9:30PM.
