Charlie Sheen Talks 'Anger Management,' 'Two And A Half Men,' Ashton Kutcher & More

"I just didn’t want ['Two and a Half Men'] to be my television legacy. I wanted to do something that ended better," Sheen told reporters about throwing himself into his new cable comedy "Anger Management," at a Television Critics Association event on Jan. 8.

The series, which will air on FX, is set to start production in March and -- as long as the first 10 episodes reach a certain ratings mark -- 'Anger Management' will be greenlit for an unprecedented 90 additional episodes.

Sheen will play an anger management counselor who leads two therapy groups -- one in a prison and one un-incarcerated.

And with the two lead roles of Sheen's therapist and his ex-wife yet to be cast, he and 'Management' showrunner Bruce Helford ("George Lopez") told The Hollywood Reporter at the TCA event that they will start looking at actresses this week. "They're in their late 30s to mid 40s," Heldford told THR. "So it will probably be someone who had experience and that you'll know.

"Everyone in the world calls to say they want to do that show," Helford added. According to Zap2It Helford cited "Roseanne" as primary inspiration for the tone "Anger Management," which is loosely based on the 2003 film of the same name starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler.

Find out why at Zap2It.com. Plus, Sheen talks more about his character, what's different this time around, Ashton Kutcher's "Two and a Half Men" performance and "one of the great television moments of all time" with The Hollywood Reporter.
