Bravo Developing The Joneses Adaptation from Liz Tigelaar

Bravo is bulking up on scripted television.

The network is developing The Joneses, a scripted drama based on the 2009 indie film of the same name, TVGuide.com has learned.

The project, which hails from Life Unexpected's Liz Tigelaar, focuses on the all-American family the Joneses, who move to an upscale suburb. However, they're harboring a deep secret from their neighbors: They're not actually a family. They're trying to infiltrate their neighbors in order to market products to them. Demi Moore and David Duchovney starred in the original film.

The drama will reunite the Life Unexpectedcreator with Gary Fleder and Mary Beth Basile, both signed on as producers, who worked on the two-season CW series. Since her days on LUX, Tigelaar has gone on to write for ABC's Once Upon a Time, Revenge and new fall series Nashville.

The project was previously greenlighted by ABC Studios last August, but failed to garner a pickup to pilot at ABC. The pilot will now be redeveloped for Bravo. The revival news comes on the heels of another ABC project getting a reprieve: Lifetime picked upMarc Cherry's Devious Maidsto series in June.

Bravo has two other scripted projects in the works, 22 Birthdaysand Blowing Sunshine, with plans to premiere scripted fare starting in 2013.
