LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - FX's high profile drama pilot, "Tyrant," has just found its first son.
Noah Silver has been cast as Sammy, the son of lead character, Barry (Adam Rayner), on the drama project from "Homeland" executive producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff and "Six Feet Under" writer-producer Craig Wright, TheWrap has learned.
"Harry Potter" director David Yates will direct the pilot.
If picked up, Silver will be a series regular on the Fox 21-produced series that follows father Barry and his American family as they return to his roots in the turbulent Middle East.
Aside from Rayner, Silver joins already announced Justin Kirk, Sibylla Deen, Salim Daw and Ashraf Barhom.
Silver is best known for playing Benito Sforza, whose family opposed the Pope, on Showtime's "The Borgias." The actor, who was born in the U.S. and grew up in France, will next be seen in a multiple-episode arc on DirecTV's upcoming limited series, "Full Circle," from director, screenwriter and playwright Neil LaBute.
Silver is represented by UTA and Ken McReddie Associates (U.K.).
