Date July 26, 2013

By Sara Morrison

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Al Jazeera America's lineup continues to fill out with Antonio Mora joining the news channel as the host of its nightly talk show, "Consider This."

"I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that's committed to in-depth coverage of stories important to all Americans," Mora said in a statement.

The show, which just launched its own Twitter account, will feature interviews and panel discussions. Mora has experience at the national news level, having worked for ABC News for eight years and filling various roles there from filling in as the host of "Good Morning America" and weekend anchor of "World News Tonight."

His previous job was at a Florida CBS affiliate, where he anchored the evening news broadcast until December 2012.

"Antonio has enormous experience as a reporter, anchor and interviewer. His enquiring mind and warmth on screen will make 'Consider This' a home for smart conversation with a wide variety of people across the country," said Al Jazeera America's deputy launch manager Paul Eedle.

Al Jazeera America is set to launch on August 20, and has recently made several announcements on-air talent and personnel: Kate O'Brian will serve as president of the channel and Joie Chen will anchor its "America Tonight" weeknight newscast.
