But it's 'Those Funny Little People' that may stand the best chance of advancing to the next round. Why, you ask? The over-sized puppets managed to not only entertain with their homages to 'Singin' in the Rain' and 'It's Raining Men,' but, perhaps more importantly, the group, which was supported by judge Howie Mandel, truly got under the skin of judge Piers Morgan.
And while viewers watch 'AGT' to see the next million-dollar act get discovered they also tune in to watch the bickering between Morgan, Mandel and fellow judge Sharon Osbourne.
AOL TVwas on the scene at the show's taping in Hollywood last night and spoke to the judges after the show about the funny big effect that 'Those Funny Little People' have on Morgan.
"We had the perfect mix of drama, excitement, unusual acts, a death-defying finale and that odd train wreck [in between]," Morgan said. "Miami All-Stars is the best dance group I've ever seen on the show. But 'Those Funny Little People' is the most stupid. I just don't get it. They're a total joke."
They're also very popular, says Mandel.
"I was following the show on Twitter and 'TFLP' was trending. They're different and unlike any other act on the show. They have really good choreography."
Osbourne agrees that 'TFLP' may get some votes just because it annoys Morgan. "That said, I think that 'TFLP' could go on and be a great act for kids," she suggests. "They're funny. Right now, I love the fact that they get Piers crazy."
"Piers has a visceral reaction to them," Mandel adds.
Watch for Morgan to become more peeved if the group is voted through.
"If 'TFLP' end up doing well at the expense of some really good acts then it may hasten the departure of Howie from this show," promises Lex Luthor Morgan, adding with a lilt in his voice, "So every cloud has a sliver lining."
Will America's support of 'Those Happy Little People' make Morgan a very unhappy person?
