Tom Willis, "The Jeffersons"

Cleveland-born Franklin Cover became a familiar face to the television audience in the role of Tom Willis on "The Jeffersons." Primarily a bit player until that point, Cover made history as part of television's first interracial couple. The same year he took the part of Tom Willis, Cover also appeared in the cult classic "The Stepford Wives" and has appeared in many movies and TV series since. Most notably, Cover has guest starred on "Mad About You" and a recent "Columbo" movie, as well as providing voices for "Batman: The Animated Series."
